Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the surgery Care Group Management Team (CGMT) as our PA. We are a busy, dynamic and enthusiastic team managing surgical services in the surgery care group at UHS.
We are looking for a team player who is flexible and has a can do attitude to work with us in surgery. The role is diverse requiring great communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. You will be proactive and have experience of problem solving independently and in a team. Your days will be varied and as a valued member of our team you will be supporting us with the daily management of surgical services.
The surgery care group includes gastrointestinal, head and neck , max fax, and urology outpatient services, wards and theatres. This role supports the operational, nursing and medical management team in surgery.

1. To provide a comprehensive personal assistant service
2. Coordinate and streamline administrative processes to ensure consistent and effective administration service is always maintained
3. To organise and prioritise diary appointments
4. To arrange meetings
5. To prepare meeting paperwork, agendas and minute take as required
6. To act as point of contact for CGMT
7. To support with administrative duties including letter writing, report writing and presentations

Qualifications, knowledge and experience
Essential
- Good standard of secondary education with English skills demonstrable to GSCE pass level or equivalent standard
- Knowledge of business and admin policies to level 4 standard (NVQ, apprenticeship, BTEC)
- Experience working as a Personal Assistant or in business administration
- Working as part of a team and independently
Desirable
- Experience within an Acute Trust or other healthcare sector
- Previous experience of working in an extremely busy environment
- Budget holding experience
