To fix vehicles and replace their parts for customers.
Duties include inspecting the vehicle’s mechanical components and its engine, diagnosing problems with vehicles and performing maintenance/servicing and repair work on cars, and other vehicles.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Use manual and computerized diagnostic methods to identify potential problems in a car
• Explaining mechanical problems and possible solutions to customers whilst providing excellent customer service
• Testing parts and systems to ensure they work correctly – including carrying out road testing after completing work on a vehicle
• Performing basic automotive care, including changing oil, servicing and rotating tires
• Performing advanced automotive care, including engine diagnostics and rectifications
• Repairing or replacing worn, old or defective parts of a car
• Repairing or modifying a car to a client’s specifications, if possible
• Fit accessories such as Dash Cams, stereos and roof racks
• Completing job cards detailing in depth what work was carried out, parts used and labour times
• Schedule future maintenance appointments and provide customers with general advice
• Provide all relevant documentation to the customer, including warranties, updated service books and certificates
• Keep a professional personal appearance and keep the workshop clean, tidy and organised
• Maintain all garage equipment and tools in excellent condition
• Any other tasks in association with your role as vehicle technician
Applicants must work as a vehicle technician and willing to pass full UK driving licence.
