Are you an internationally educated nurse who trained outside the UK and working in a healthcare setting and looking to join the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) register?
We are currently recruiting internationally educated nurses living in the UK who have passed their IELTS/OET as set out in the NMC language requirements and passed both parts of the adult Test of Competency (CBT) and has gained experience in HCA/Nursing Assistant role and wishes to progress their career within the National Health Service.
At Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, we provide help and guidance to support your entry into the nursing profession and obtaining your registration with the NMC.
We offer * subject to obtaining your NMC PIN:
- Free Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) training (£2000).
- Free OSCE exams (up to 2 exams – £794.00 for initial exam and £397 for additional resit).
- Free transport to the exam centres – first assessment only
up to five years of sponsorship (£5488).
We have a well-structured, high pass rated, and positively reviewed Overseas Nurses adult OSCE programme and would be keen to welcome you to work at East Surrey Hospital.
In preparation for your OSCE, you will receive one-on-one support in clinical skills such as planning patient care, medication management, and aseptic non-touch technique (ANTT), among others.
Main duties of the job
You will be individually assessed on your clinical skills and knowledge, with constructive feedback provided to enhance your competencies to meet NMC requirements for professional registration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work in groups, undertake self-assessments, and participate in reflective learning activities as part of your development.
The OSCE programme is supported by a dedicated team of Practice Educators, including the lead Practice Educator for Overseas Nurses. Upon completion of the OSCE programme, you will join the Trust Preceptorship programme, further supported by the Practice Development Nurse for Preceptorship. This programme will help you build confidence and core skills, facilitating your transition into the role of a newly registered staff nurse in the UK.
Our next OSCE programme starts in September and we have 20 places available and vacancies across our medical, surgical and oncology divisions.

Essential criteria
- Passed IELTS / OET certificate to NMC standard within the last two years
- Passed Adult Test of Competency (CBT) Part 1 and Part 2
- Nursing qualification
- Evidence of essential nursing experience for role
- Evidence of the Trust values and behaviours
