outside Surgery is looking to recruit a part time Health Care Assistant to join our well-established practice for around 19 hours per week, Ideally working 3 days. Must have phlebotomy skills.
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and well-motivated person to join our busy nursing team who strives to ensure that our patients receive the best possible service from the Practice.

We offer 5 weeks annual leave plus bank hols (pro rated)
Main duties of the job
Must hold a Phlebotomy qualification and be able to take blood, as essential for role.
ECG recording
Urine testing/analysis
Blood pressure measurement/monitoring
Height and weight measurement
INR Monitoring
Chaperoning duties
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/nurses.
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting roomsPreparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operationsAssisting in the assessment and surveillance of patient’s health and well-beingUndertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.
About us
Courtside Surgery is situated in the town of Yate with ample parking and amenities close by.
We serve the community of Yate and surrounding areas. Our patient population is c.15.5k.
You will be part of a large multi-disciplinary team. We have 6 partners and 4 salaried GPs working alongside a large clinical and back office team including urgent care team, nursing team including mental health and physiotherapists.
We consult using EMIS Web Clinical system with Ardens clinical decision support tool.

Administer B12 injections under PSDs signed by GPs
Chaperoning duties

Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording.
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions, including assisting GPs during the performance of minor operations
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual.
There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be depending upon factors such as workload and staffing levels
