Job Overview:

Duties:
– Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
– Create innovative menus and recipes whilst ensuring cost-effectiveness
– Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
– Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
– Manage inventory levels and control food wastage
– Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
– Collaborate with restaurant management to meet customer needs and preferences
Qualifications:
– Proven experience working in a similar role within the hospitality industry
– Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, and culinary techniques
– Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively
– Proficiency in menu planning, costing, and inventory management
– Understanding of health and safety regulations related to food preparation
– Creative flair for developing new dishes whilst maintaining consistency in quality
