Job Summary:

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will be the frontline representative, the face of our business, and the vital link between our customers and our team of skilled technicians. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure an unparalleled customer experience, delivering expert advice, and guiding customers through their car maintenance journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Greet customers with a warm and friendly demeanour, making them feel welcomed and valued.
Actively listen to customers’ concerns, questions, and service needs with empathy and understanding.
Provide clear and comprehensive explanations of recommended services, repairs, and maintenance options.
Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring their complete satisfaction.

Service Consultation: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and assessments to identify service requirements accurately.
Collaborate with our skilled technicians to discuss vehicle issues, service recommendations, and estimated completion times.
Prepare detailed service estimates and quotes, ensuring transparency and clarity in all communications.

Service Coordination: Schedule appointments efficiently, considering the availability of technicians and customers’ preferences.
Liaise with parts and inventory personnel to ensure the availability of required parts and materials for scheduled services.
Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date service schedule.

Upselling and Service Recommendations: Demonstrate strong knowledge of our services and promotions to provide appropriate upselling opportunities to customers.
Suggest preventative maintenance and service packages tailored to customers’ vehicle needs and usage.

Administrative Duties: Accurately document service details, customer information, and vehicle history using our internal systems.
Prepare invoices and process payments promptly.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or coursework in automotive technology is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong automotive knowledge, including an understanding of common vehicle issues and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and software applications relevant to service advising.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with composure.
