Main duties of the job
The postholder is primarily responsible for the administration and onboarding of temporary medical staff, but is expected to provide support to the Team in respect of the wider remit of the Medical Resourcing team as required.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop a wide base of HR knowledge, the ability to provide excellent customer-focussed service and performance against tight deadlines. The role requires a highly organised and motivated individual, with an ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work effectively in a team environment.

Job responsibilities
The Medical Resourcing Assistant role works as part of the Medical Resourcing Team and is specifically responsible for the booking and administration of temporary staffing requests relating to medical staff. This is a high priority service provided to all Divisions within WHHT.
The postholder will also be responsible for various HR related queries and administrative duties, in line with the service provided by the Medical Resourcing team. The post holder will need to liaise with HR colleagues, Trust management, Divisional Management teams, temporary staffing agencies, medical staff, NHS Professionals, WHHT Procurement team and general Trust staff in order to discharge their duties.

Education and qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s Grade C (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Desirable
- Working towards CIPD qualification
- Administration qualification, i.e., NVQ 3 or equivalent, RSA, ECDL or CLAIT
Knowledge
Essential
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
- Knowledge of ESR or equivalent HR database
- Knowledge of Medical and Dental terms and conditions of service.
- Knowledge of Medical Staffing.
- Knowledge of Junior Doctor rotas and rota software packages e.g. Allocate
Experience

- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Experience of working within HR
- Experience with IT packages, including Word and Excel.
