Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Administrator/Clinic Secretary to join our MK Community Mental Health Hub. The hub is part of the adult mental health community redesign initiative to improve the quality of care received by people with mental health needs in their local community. The national direction of travel, outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan, is towards the provision of more integrated, personalised and place-based care and the hub is a needs based service providing a wide range of interventions as part of 3 pathways; Diagnosis & Condition Management pathway, Complex Emotional Needs pathway and Therapies pathway.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, well organised, efficient, and who can work autonomously as part of the hub admin team and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE English and Maths Grade C and above or other equivalent qualification
  • RSA 3 or NVQ 3 or equivalent secretarial experience or relevant qualification / experience

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience in an administration/secretarial post.
  • Experience of front line customer service work

Skills and Knowledge

Essential

  • A comprehensive working knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, PowerPoint .

Desirable

  • Understanding of the Data Protection Act and Issues around Confidentiality.
